Hydroturbine is designed to drive a synchronous three-phase current hydrogenerator by transmitting torque to the generator rotor through the flange connection of the hydroturbine shaft with the hydrogenerator rotor. The hydraulic unit layout is of the suspended type with the support of the thrust bearing on the upper cross of the hydraulic generator.
Operation of the unit in the synchronous compensator mode is not envisaged. The hydraulic turbine consists of the following main parts: cladding, embedded parts, working wheel, turbine shaft, guide apparatus, working mechanisms, auxiliary equipment, mounting devices for cladding and embedded parts, mounting devices for working mechanisms, spare parts.
