Special tow truck with a CMU modification SMA 223 is designed for evacuation from the scene of an accident or transport to the place of repair of defective vehicles. It is also possible to use the wrecker for transporting vehicles over medium distances.
It is equipped with broken or sliding all-metal platforms with load capacity from 1 to 3 tonnes. Car loading on the platform is carried out by a crane-manipulator or hydraulic winch.
The winch is mounted on a reinforced bracket in the front part of the platform. Functioning of working bodies is carried out by PTO from the base engine of the chassis.
