XR-BODY - Abdominal Palpation Simulator for Enhanced Medical Training

Unique mixed reality simulator that allows you to conduct physical examination of a virtual patient. The simulator is based on a realistic abdominal model with palpable bony landmarks, elastic skin and a set of internal organs (normal/pathological). Virtual reality goggles allow the trainee to see the patient full-length, examine, palpate and interpret findings.

An inbuilt sensor system monitors the position of the hands on the patient's body and the amount of pressure exerted on the abdominal wall. Multiple clinical cases of surgical and gynaecological conditions, male and female patients, different ages, visual cues to understand the clinical picture. Ability to collect anamnesis, with the patient responding by text and voice to questions posed.

Unique external manifestations of diseases. Different degrees of patient pain response to palpation of specific areas depending on the clinical case. Making a diagnosis based on the results of the examination.
