FASAR ultrasonic rail defectoscopes on phased arrays are designed to measure the depth of the defect, the distance from the front edge of the transducer prism to the projection of the defect on the scanning surface during continuous inspection of rails at a speed of up to 4 km/h to detect, record and decipher signals from defects located along the entire length and cross-section of railway rails. The flaw detectors are available in the following modifications: FAZAR-01 and FAZAR-02.
The flaw detector consists of: a specialised flaw detector trolley (single-strand - for FAZAR-01 or double-strand - for FAZAR-02), electronic unit, input-output device (tablet), FAZAR scanner (for FAZAR-02 - 2 scanners) with ultrasonic sensors and a container with contact liquid. The electronic block and the tablet are connected by Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi wireless network.
Transducers on the FR and/or conventional low-frequency transducers are connected to the electronic unit.
