Turbogenerator rotor (TG) is designed for generation of electrical energy in continuous rated operating mode S1 according to GOST IEC 60034-1-2014 in direct connection with a steam turbine at a thermal power plant. The generator is a three-phase implicitly pole generator consisting of a fixed part - stator, which includes a core and a winding connected to the external network, and a rotating part - rotor, on which there is an excitation winding fed by rectified current.
Structural design of TG is closed hermetically sealed. Losses in the rotor winding, power consumption for hydrogen circulation in the rotor channels and mechanical losses from rotor friction in the gas medium are removed by hydrogen circulating in the TG under the action of two fans installed on the rotor shaft and cooled by gas coolers.
The rotor is made of one-piece forging of special steel, providing its mechanical strength at all specified operating modes of the TG. The rotor winding is made of strip copper with silver additive.
