The TAU-TSG turbine gas meters (hereinafter referred to as the meter) are designed to measure the volume under operating conditions of a smoothly changing flow of purified and dried single- and multi-component non-aggressive gases such as natural gas, propane, air, nitrogen, inert and other gases. The operating principle of the meter is based on the interaction of the impeller of the measuring turbine wheel, axially located in the meter body, with the gas flow moving along it.
With the help of the impeller, the axial velocity of the gas flow is converted into angular rotation speed, which is proportional to the gas volume flow rate, and the number of impeller revolutions is proportional to the gas volume passed through the measuring transducer of the meter. The rotation of the measuring turbine wheel through a mechanical reducer and magnetic coupling is transmitted to the counting mechanism, which shows the total volume of gas under operating conditions that has passed through the meter.
