Turbine Diaphragm 25 Stages 47T230-3217 for Enhanced Steam Turbine Performance

The steam turbine diaphragm is a fixed element of the turbine stage, installed in the turbine casing between adjacent rows of working blades and is an annular partition with nozzle grids, in the channels of which the thermal energy of steam is converted into kinetic energy of its flow. The diaphragm assembly consists of two half-ring parts having a horizontal split to allow the rotor to be installed. Each half of the diaphragm consists of the interconnected rim, by which the diaphragm mates with the cage or turbine housing, body, insert, canopy, bandage tape, in the windows of which the nozzle blades are installed and the nozzle blades themselves. All parts are joined together by welding. Diaphragm halves are assembled into a single unit and fixed relative to each other by means of keyways, slips, bolts and cap nuts. To ensure sealing in the rotor area, spring loaded O-rings are installed in the diaphragm.
