Traction Motor DTC-800E for Efficient Drive of Electric Locomotives

DTK-800E traction motor is designed to drive wheel pairs of mainline DC freight electric locomotives of 2(3)ES4K type. The motor is made for axle-axle suspension with motor-axle rolling bearings and is used as a part of the mechanical drive of the first class with double-sided torque transmission. The traction motor is a six-pole compensated DC machine with series excitation and independent ventilation system. For ease of maintenance in operation of the collector-brush unit, the motor is equipped with a swivelling traverse. Insulated coils of main and additional poles together with cores are impregnated in epoxy compound and after baking represent a single monolithic block. The electric motor complies with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR TS 001/2011.
