Vacuum switch of three-pole version with electromagnetic or spring drive is designed for switching of electric circuits under normal conditions in networks of three-phase alternating current with frequency 50 Hz with rated voltage 20 kV at rated current 630A or 1000 A with interpole distance 210 mm and at rated current 1250A or 1600 A with interpole distance 275 mm depending on the order, with rated tripping current 25 kA.

The switch is designed for operation in networks with isolated neutral, as well as for protection of electrical circuits in emergency modes with disconnection and switching on for short-circuit currents.
