PCS are manufactured in accordance with TU 9398-003-74821646-2006 and are designed for permanent replacement or shunting of segments of the vascular channel in prolonged contact with the internal environment of the body, human blood.
PCCs are made of polyester and fluorlon threads in the form of a corrugated tube. Prostheses do not change the shape and size of the corrugations after the sterilisation process. Vascular prosthesis has mechanical properties that provide the most favourable conditions for blood flow through the prosthesis, such as elasticity, seamlessness, ability to modelling under the influence of blood flow, as well as PSCs have thin walls and are easily pierced with atraumatic needle.
PCS are made on special tape-weaving machines, providing a dense weave of synthetic fibre threads, and the main advantage of the woven prosthesis is a small blood loss during its application due to the low permeability of the prosthesis wall.
