Surge Protection Device for Semiconductor Converters - BZP for AC Networks

The overvoltage protection block of BZP type is intended for protection of semiconductor converters of various purposes, it is used in AC networks with voltage up to 1000V. BZP limits the level and speed of overvoltage rise at the moment of switching off the power transformer. At the same time, the voltage level in the network at the moment of tripping at the most unfavourable moment does not exceed 10% of the nominal voltage.

The product is made in the form of a single unit, the unit can be mounted directly in the cabinet with the converter or in a separate cabinet, for protection against accidental contact the chassis of the unit is covered with a cover. Advantages: Can be used with different types and powers of solid-state converters, contains no threshold elements, thus provides ?soft? limiting, operation over a wide range of power voltage variation.
