Galvanised steel tanks with cone bottoms of SKD type (silos) are designed for storage of all types of conditioned grain and grain products and can be used at enterprises for storage, processing and use of vegetable raw materials, animal husbandry, poultry farming and fodder production. Metal silo provides protection of grain from bad weather, prompt loading and unloading operations, absolute protection from rodents and birds, safety of operation. The silo is delivered in disassembled form, in aggregated units, as a part of the structure, according to the Technical Conditions.
The silo requires certain infrastructure - loading and unloading equipment and control systems, grain receiving, drying and cleaning facilities, handling devices. Calculation of silo design is mandatory. Cone-bottom silos are located on metal supports and have a cone-shaped discharge hopper.
