Sand Delivery Device UPP-12-02 for Efficient Transport Systems

Sand feeding devices are designed to supply sand into the channel of the sand feeding system of the rolling stock. The principle of operation of sand feeding devices is based on the use of a compressor, blowing air into the mixing chamber with sand. When a command is given to switch on the sand feeder via CAN-bus, the air is blown into the mixing chamber and the sand falls into the sand discharge channel. When the command to switch on the sand feeder via CAN-bus is cancelled, the sand supply is stopped. The sand is heated by applying voltage to the heating element located in the sand hopper and to the heating element located in the nozzle of the sand supply hose.
