The breathing apparatus is designed for:
- protection of human respiratory organs and eyesight from the harmful effects of toxic and smoky gas environment during rescue operations in buildings and structures, production facilities, ships and vessels of various ministries, including vessels with the class of the Russian River Register;
- evacuation of a victim from an area with an unbreathable gas environment when used with a rescue device;
- rescue diving operations at depths of up to 20 m when used in the diving version.
The apparatus is produced in four versions depending on the type and number of cylinders used (one or two): AP "Omega-C"-200-1, AP "Omega-C"-200-2, AP "Omega-C"-300-1, AP "Omega-C"-300-2.
