Neurons are the main building blocks of the nervous system. Their main function is to transmit signals through small connections (synapses)
The model is designed to study the human nervous system. The model imitates the structure of a neuron, nerve outgrowth (axon).
The model of a nerve cell consists of 4 parts: a neuron body with outgrowths, a transparent nuclear shell and 2 balls imitating nuclei. On it you can see the features of the external and internal structure of the neuron: nucleus, nuclei, porous nuclear envelope, secretory formations, cell envelope, short branching branches with "spikes" - dendrites, axon hill - the place of departure of the long branch of the neuron (axon). The axon model demonstrates its external and internal structure and allows to see the thick myelin sheath of the outgrowth, Schwann cells synthesising myelin, Ranvier interceptions, mitochondria and secretory formations formed by cells during excitation. The length of the neuron model is at least 2 cm. The length of the axon model is at least 34 cm.
