Manual Fire Hose Nozzle LK-3 for Efficient Firefighting Applications

The manual fire barrel LK-3 is designed:
- for forming and directing continuous or atomised water jets;
- to protect the gunner from thermal effects by a protective water curtain;
- for extinguishing forest and landscape fires.
The barrel design provides:
- overlapping of the flow of extinguishing agents;
- step change of the jet torch angle from continuous to protective curtain (120°);
- connection to the D25 hose line;
During the operation of these barrels the following positive aspects have been established:
-simplicity in work at formation of a water jet;
-small weight and overall dimensions allow to reduce energy consumption of the gunner when working at the positions of the combat area;
-significant reduction of water consumption with increased efficiency of fire extinguishing;
-distance of compact jet up to 15 m (depending on the pressure on the fire pump), as well as formation of atomised jet to ensure extinguishing of the fire place and protective curtain of the gunner up to 120°.
