Tills the soil to a depth of 4 to 12 cm. It loosens the surface of the field by suspended sections with spring tines, simultaneously levelling it. It belongs to the class of heavy universal harrows.

It is used in early spring and autumn for: closing of moisture; harrowing on stubble; harrowing on ploughing; placement of fertilisers into the soil; distribution of crop residues; provoking early sprouting of annual weeds.
