Hollow feather semi-suspended semi-balanced rudder profiled (streamlined) hydrodynamic shape. The feather is made of high quality steel certified by RS (steel grade - 08GDNFL, pl.2153, pl. 2157-2) It has an outer skin, inner longitudinal and transverse set.

The main method of assembly is welding according to OST.5.9913-88, OST5.9224-75, GOST 5264-80. Overall length - 2290 mm Overall width (on the body of the feather) - 570 mm Overall width (on the flange) - 613 mm Overall height - 4575 mm Total design mass of the product - 4022 kg The feather has three mounting and inspection windows of different sizes, four sealed drain plugs, pre-installed centred flange for mounting to the rudder baller. The feather is watertight, tested for tightness by overpressure of 0.03 MPa with compressed air.

Internal cavities and external surfaces are painted with non-fouling paintwork.
