"Guttasiler" is a highly plastic X-ray contrast material for filling root canals of all groups of teeth using gutta-percha posts. After full curing it practically does not resorb.
It remains plastic for a long time and hardens after 48-72 hours. During this period it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect due to the presence of iodtimol, calcium hydroxide, dexamethasone and hydrocortisone.
The provided duration of working time allows to insert the required number of pins, and if necessary to remove the main pin, to correct its length and re-filling of the canal. After curing of the siler, the posts are firmly fixed in the tooth, but if necessary, the contents of the canal can be evacuated: a hot instrument softens and withdraws the posts, with the help of endodontic instruments paste is extracted.
