The ground radio equipment of the ILS 734 landing system operates on the principle of the international ILS system and is designed to ensure the formation of HF signals in space, the reception of which provides information on board the aircraft about its location relative to the runway during the approach and landing in conditions of meteorological minimum I, II, III categories ICAO.
The category of meteorological minimum is determined by the output characteristics of radio beacons, which can be realised in accordance with the terrain requirements set out in the operational documentation of the beacons.
Aircraft on-board equipment shall contain receiving devices complying with the signal format and ICAO requirements.
The ground radio equipment of the landing system includes:
- Loc 734 (course beacon);
- GP 734 (glide path beacon);
- DME 734 (range beacon);
- FFM 734 (Far Field Monitor);
- DM 734 (remote control unit - RCU);
- RCMS 734 (software control system - RCMS 734); RCMS 734 (software control system - RCMS 734); RCMS 734 (software control system - RCMS 734)...
