Gas meters KTM600 RUS are designed for measurement and calculation of volumetric flow rate, gas volume under operating and standard conditions, mass flow rate of various non-aggressive and aggressive gases and vapour, including natural, wet, associated petroleum and flare gases in the single-phase parameter range. Description of measuring instrument The measuring principle of KTM600 RUS gas meters (hereinafter referred to as meters) is based on the measurement of ultrasonic pulse transit time difference. Receiving units are installed on both sides of the pipeline at a certain angle to the flow.

The transceiver units have piezoelectric transducers of ultrasound, working alternately as a receiver and transmitter. The sound pulses are sent at an angle to the direction of the gas flow. Depending on the angle and velocity of the gas flow, different propagation times for a particular direction of the sound pulses are observed as a result of the effects of propulsion and braking.
