Description
Excitation system (ES) is a complex of electrical equipment for controlling excitation of turbine generator (TG) in normal and emergency modes. CB provides PG of PTU with automatically regulated constant excitation current. Excitation of TG is carried out by static thyristor system, executed with 2 autonomous and equivalent converter-regulating channels, containing thyristor converter (TP), digital automatic excitation regulator with pulse-phase control system, capable of independently providing all modes of TG operation, including excitation boosting mode. TP is powered through a transformer connected to an independent source of 20 kV voltage.
