Material refers to plastic hardening pastes. It is used for filling of canals of all groups of teeth. Solidification of the paste in the canal occurs within 48-72 hours, which, if necessary, gives the opportunity to re-fill it.
The powder is based on zinc oxide, barium sulphate is used as a radiopaque filler. The antiseptic effect of the paste lasts for several hours after filling, which is necessary for sterilisation of organic residues in the canals after pulp removal. Antiseptic effect of the paste gradually weakens and stops with its curing.
There is no formaldehyde in the material, because the destructive effect on tissues and cytotoxicity of formalin-containing materials are very high and offset the prolonged antiseptic action due to the release of formalin.
