Circulation system is a complex of mechanisms and equipment included in the drilling rig set and designed:
- for preparation and storage of drilling mud of specified density and quality;
- mud supply to the well;
- chemical treatment of drilling mud;
- cleaning of drilling mud from drilled rock;
- drilling mud degassing (if necessary);
- refilling of mud into the borehole during pipe lifting;
- removal of cuttings to the dump or for disposal.
