The Optima NC/SC coronary angioplasty balloon catheter is a dual-lumen catheter with the balloon located near the distal tip. The balloon catheter shaft is a hollow tube with one lumen in the proximal part and two lumen in the distal part of the catheter.
The Optima NC/SC Coronary Angioplasty Balloon Catheter is temporarily inserted into a coronary artery to dilate it during percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). The Optima NC coronary angioplasty balloon catheter is designed for: - balloon dilatation of stenosed coronary artery or coronary shunt to improve myocardial perfusion; - balloon dilatation of coronary artery occlusion sites to restore coronary blood flow in patients with acute coronary syndrome; - balloon dilatation of drug-coated and drug-free coronary stents after their implantation (NC only).
