Emergency rescue rig ASU-1

Agency Rescue Unit ASU-1 is designed for delivery of cargoes and people along vertical mine workings during rescue operations. Composition of ASU-1: winch RL-250, tripod, guide roller, safety umbrella. The winch RL-250 consists of an aluminium housing with places for attaching the winch to the tripod, a drum with a rope, a gearbox, a ratchet mechanism and a manual drive handle with a stopper to control the winch drive.

The rotary motion of the handle on the winch shank is transmitted through the gearbox to the drum to release or retract the rope. The tripod consists of three telescopic rods of variable length (one main and two support rods) connected by a crossbeam. A winch is attached to the main boom.

A hanger with a guide roller is mounted on the traverse to guide the cable position. A conical-shaped safety umbrella is attached to a hook on the cable.
