The film is a combined product including a polyurethane-based fixation part with an adhesive layer containing povidone iodine, with non-adhesive polyethylene coloured strips on two opposite sides of the film (for easy application and removal of the film) and a protective layer of siliconised paper. Povidone iodine contained in the adhesive layer has an antibacterial effect, which reduces the risk of wound infection by skin microflora during surgery.
