Airway Clearance System "Ortorent" for Effective Respiratory Therapy

The product is designed for effective therapy for clearing the respiratory tract from pulmonary secretions by means of forced high-frequency low-amplitude chest wall oscillations. In general, the product consists of an inflatable waistcoat, a compressor generating air pulses, a power cable, and connecting hoses. The compressor inflates the waistcoat by rapidly changing the air pressure in the waistcoat. This produces a rhythmic squeezing effect on the patient's chest, mimicking a natural cough. As a result of this process, thick mucous secretion (sputum) liquefies, separates from the bronchial walls and moves to the central, larger parts of the respiratory tract, from where it can be easily removed by normal coughing or aspiration. Airway clearance therapy of this type is called high frequency chest wall oscillation (HFCWO).
