Acti-Fine® Vacuum tubes for haematological tests contain K3EDTA (1.8 mg/ml blood)EDTA blocks the clotting cascade by binding calcium ions, ensuring the stability of red, white and platelets in the blood sample for up to 24 hours. Full bore screw threads on the cap and tube to prevent spillage of material during transport, mixing and centrifugation, as well as for repeated opening and closing of the tube without splashing of material, to avoid the risk of contamination.
