Polypropylene fibres are made from polypropylene melt by moulding. The fibres have a low vapour absorption coefficient and one of the lowest specific gravities among man-made fibres.
Advantageous characteristics:
high strength;
good elasticity;
excellent thermal insulation properties, allowing to produce packaging material for goods and products sensitive to temperature fluctuations;
resistance to chemical reagents ;
resistance to wear and repeated bending;
immunity to decay and microorganisms (mould, bacteria, fungus, etc.), which makes the fabric easy to clean and durable;
low hygroscopicity (about 0.02 %);
ability to resist high (melting point 165 C°) and low temperatures, as well as temperature fluctuations.
