Superconductor detector is an element that registers single quanta of optical radiation. Such a detector is made of a thin (5 nm) NbN film, which is structured on a chip of size (3.5±0.1) mm × (3.5±0.1) mm × (3.5±0.1) mm × (0.4±0.02) mm.
The detector is fixed in a metal holder and interfaced with a single-mode optical fibre of SMF28 type, not more than 3 m long, which makes them incapable of radiation background registration. The detector does not contain matching planar antennas and circuits, nor does it contain microstrip lines.
