IBase gateway 4xE1 is designed to connect 4 E1 streams to the control service via Ethernet/IP/UDP protocol. The gateway performs full signalling parsing by converting telecommunication protocols into basic text primitives CALL-Answer-Release transmitted over Ethernet. The open text-based control protocol can be implemented on any hardware and software platform with Ethernet/IP connectivity.
The control service, based on primitives, implements algorithms of call processing, initiation of new calls, switching, redirection, etc. The gateway is used to build a voice gateway. The gateway is used for building voice menus of enterprises, autoinformers, control and management of calls on communication lines.
It has means of protection against failure of control service to ensure uninterrupted provision of communication services.
