The BDM-U is a tillage agricultural machinery designed for use in soil and climatic conditions with soil moisture up to 40% (with a plume roller - up to 18%) and soil hardness in the cultivated layer up to 3.5 MPa, as well as on fields with a large amount of crop residues. In one pass the machine shreds and embeds plant residues of the predecessor and weed vegetation into the soil, creates a loosened and levelled soil layer, embeds applied fertilisers.
The design of aggregates allows to work in wet weather, on lands with a large amount of plant residues, as well as on lands with any amount of weed vegetation, thus avoiding winding on the disc axle and dense clogging of disc rows. BDM-U is of particular value on small areas and difficult terrain, where greater manoeuvrability of the machine is required
