The bayonet pin is a tetrahedral rod with four longitudinal grooves along its length and tapered ends with radii.In the proximal part there is a groove designed to extract the pin from the bone. It belongs to the class of pins (rods, nails) without blocking. It is used for osteosynthesis of femoral bone fragments.
