The silencer body is made of galvanised steel. Mineral wool with a protective coating to prevent fibres from blowing out is used as noise-absorbing material. The standard length of the sound attenuator housing is 600 mm or 900 mm. On request, silencers can be manufactured in other lengths.
Channel-GKK is preferably installed between the fans and the main ducts. In mechanical exhaust ventilation systems, silencers are used both to protect against noise in the rooms served and to reduce the noise coming from the fans to the outside. Silencers are installed independently of spatial orientation, maintaining their performance. It is recommended to install a straight section of ducting at least 1 - 1.5 m long in front of the sound attenuator.
