A non-sterile plug, with or without threads, designed to fill an empty hole in an orthopaedic fixation plate, i.e. a hole not occupied by a cortical screw, to prevent tissue ingrowth into the hole.
It is made of metal or synthetic polymer material and is screwed or inserted into the hole. It also has the possibility of fixing the serclage wire on the plate.
Shape - conical with thread. The slot is hexagonal.
