Neodymium (III) fluoride for thin layer optics (pilot batch). It is granules (1-10 mm) or tablets (diameter 12-25 mm, height 5-15 mm) of lilac colour with density 5.0 g/cm3.
Refractive index is 1.55. Chemical formula NdF3.
Purpose and scope of application: as a starting material for the manufacture of thin-layer optical coatings by thermal and electron-beam evaporation in vacuum.
