The model simulates a fragment of the small intestine with its associated mesenteric sector. The mucous membrane of the intestinal wall on the model is highlighted by staining in red, the outer serous membrane in yellow-brown. The polymeric materials used in manufacturing ensure elasticity of the intestinal wall and real sensations during suturing. The mesentery of the intestine has imitation arteries, arcade anastomoses. For fixation of the model there is a hole at the root of the mesentery.
The model can be used stand-alone or placed in endoscopic simulators.
Skills practice is possible:
creating interintestinal anastomoses;
suturing perforations;
forming a small intestinal stump;
mobilisation of the intestine at resection.
The simulator is intended for use in educational institutions of medical profile.
