The mill-fan is designed for grinding brown coal, lignite to dusty state with simultaneous drying and transportation of dust and gas mixture in dust preparation systems of boilers. The mill is manufactured with left or right rotor rotation.
The mill is a unit, which simultaneously fulfils the functions of grinding mechanism and fan, transporting by air flow the finished dust. The fuel is milled by the rapidly rotating rotor by impact action.
By the flow of drying agent the milled material is carried out from the grinding zone to the separator, where coarse fractions are separated, which are returned to the working zone of the mill for additional grinding. The mill is driven by an electric motor through an elastic coupling. The mill bearings are lubricated by an individual liquid lubrication station. Normal operation of the mill is ensured only when material with lump size not more than 25 mm, cleaned from chips, solid inclusions is supplied for grinding.
