ITN is designed for individual reactive power compensation, consists of a metal (plastic) cabinet with mounting plate and a set of parallel connected LC circuits known as, an electrical "resonator" circuit consisting of inductive and capacitive elements without resistance called resonant circuit, tank circuit or tuned circuit. It is an electrical circuit consisting of an inductance coil (L), and a capacitor (C) connected together. The LC circuit is an ideal model because it assumes that there is no energy dissipation due to resistance.
The ITN is connected in parallel to the pick-up and in this sense is an individual addition to it and an integral part of the device.
Unlike reactive power compensation devices (RPCDs) of traditional architectures, the ITN is a mains filter that suppresses most of the higher order harmonics and operates without overheating and unstable output parameters.
The ITN is practically ...
