The ESFIL® heavy, sterile polypropylene mesh endoprosthesis for reconstructive surgery is recommended for the surgical treatment of hernias of various localisations and is characterised by increased strength, which allows it to be used with confidence in difficult clinical situations where other mesh endoprostheses may not be able to withstand the load.
Mesh endoprostheses are made of biologically inert non-absorbable polypropylene monofilaments, they are available undyed or dyed in blue stripe for better visualisation on the wound background and convenience of cutting the endoprosthesis according to the required shape and size of the defect of the body tissues. The basic knitted structure of the mesh endoprosthesis ensures the edges are not loose when cut and the special weave ensures dimensional stability and limited stretchability in all directions.
