Met-01MP exhaust gas smoke meters (hereinafter - meters) are designed for express measurement of exhaust gas smoke of cars equipped with compression-ignition engines, tractors, as well as other vehicles and stationary installations with diesel engines, diesel locomotives, marine and river vessels, as well as agricultural machinery for compliance with GOST R 52160-2003, GOST 17.2.2.02-98, GOST R 50953-2008.
The operating principle of the meters is based on optical-physical interaction of opaque particles of exhaust gases with optical radiation and measurement of absorption value in the spectral range 430 - 680 nm with maximum wavelength (560 10) nm and display of measured values in units of light absorption coefficient K [m -1] and light attenuation coefficient N [ % ] on the alphanumeric display.
