Also due to the turbulent flow the growth of deposits and contaminants inside the tubes is reduced compared to the use of smooth tubes. The SP-series heat exchanger for pharmaceutical applications is a shell and tube heat exchanger that incorporates a double tube array and spiral knurled tubes, which together provide increased heat transfer coefficient with minimal pressure loss, while the double tube array prevents mixing of the product with the working fluid by reinforcing the most vulnerable area of the heat exchanger.
